Justice for Owen - Euthanize Dogs that Bite Children

On Labour Day 2007 Owen was bitten on the face by a dog.  He was in the hospital for 4 days at Sick Childrens, and recieved almost 40 visible stiches under his eye.  It has been 4 months since the bite, and he has still not regained movement in his lower eyelid - and it is possible that he may never, leaving it paralyzed.

The reason he was bitten by the dog:  he was simply walking past it.

The owners of the dog have refused to put the dog down.  The police have asked them to do so, and it was also recommended by animal control. 

A trial date is set for Feb. 20 for a judge to decide whether the dog that bit Owen will be put down.  Please sign this petition to help bring justice for my child and my family.
